Practical education designed to protect London seniors from fraud and financial mistakes
Each of our courses has been developed in consultation with fraud prevention specialists, consumer protection officers, and most importantly, older adults themselves. We understand that learning should be practical, relevant, and delivered at a comfortable pace.
All workshops take place at accessible venues across Greater London. Refreshments are included, and printed materials are provided for every participant to take home.
Essential knowledge every senior should have
Master the art of identifying fraudulent phone calls. From fake HMRC demands to technical support scams, learn the scripts criminals use and how to respond safely. Includes live demonstrations and practice scenarios.
Gain confidence using internet banking without fear. Covers creating strong passwords, understanding security features, recognising phishing emails, and what to do if you suspect unauthorised access.
Understand the tactics used in pension liberation scams and unauthorised investment schemes. Learn to verify legitimate advisers and protect your retirement savings from fraudsters.
Protect yourself from bogus callers, rogue traders, and distraction burglars. Learn safe habits for answering your door, verifying identities, and dealing with pressure tactics used by criminals.
Build foundational skills for using smartphones, tablets, and computers safely. Covers email basics, social media awareness, app permissions, and avoiding malware and suspicious downloads.
Our complete six-session course covering all major threat areas. Ideal for those seeking thorough protection knowledge. Includes follow-up support and access to our telephone helpline for six months.
Our sessions are designed to be informative without being overwhelming. We limit attendance to ensure everyone receives individual attention and has the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment.
Rather than simply lecturing, we involve participants in realistic scenarios. You might practice hanging up on a simulated scam caller or identify the warning signs in sample phishing emails. These hands-on activities help cement learning far better than passive listening.
Every participant receives a printed workbook with key information, checklists, and emergency contact numbers. Many of our graduates tell us they keep these materials by their phone or computer for quick reference when something seems suspicious.
Learning does not end when the workshop finishes. Participants in our Comprehensive Safety Programme receive six months of telephone support. For other courses, we offer a dedicated email address where you can send questions or report concerning situations for our team to assess.
